minus55
I'm thinking about buying an HX effects, but I'm mainly wanting it to record guitar directly to my Korg 8-track. Just wanting to make sure this will work before I spend the money. Currently, I run guitars through a Digitech RP355 into one of the tracks on the Korg and it does the trick. If the same can work with the HX, it will be a big leap forward for my sound. Thanks in advance!
phil_m
The HX Effects doesn't have amp or cab modeling, so it's not really the right tool for direct recording guitars. The HX Stomp would be what I'd recommend instead.

Hi, It could be an even bigger leap if you take the advice give by “phil_m”, above. Get the HX Stomp and not only do you have the amp and cab models along with all the FX, but you add the ability to re-amp whatever you record. Along with the original stereo output from the Stomp, you can record an unprocessed dry guitar signal onto another track and send that back through the Stomp for a second take using a completely different preset. Hope this helps/makes sense.
