Helix 3.01 preset volume seems quite ?

Hi all 

since updating to 3.01 i seem to need to run the helix lt volume at max for factory presets ( used to run at half was good for factory and custom presets both would run at same output level ) but now custom presets need to be a half volume as previously but need to up the volume knob to max for all factory presets any ideas .. ive tried altering amp volume and/or output level  but alters tone as aposed to just altering volume knob any help would be appricated thanks

There are a million places you can boost your overall volume besides the master volume knob. Most blocks have an output level parameter, but the for the sake of simplicity, the output block at the end of the chain is your best bet. But regardless, volume is a huge contributor to tone, no matter where it's being raised or lowered... if you boost or cut enough, your perception of the tone will change, and there's nothing you can do about that... it's just how our brains work.

When you did the update you followed the directions and did a backup, which included your Global Settings.

Have you restored your Global Settings?
