Using the POD HD Pro X with a Modeling Amp

I own a Katana MK2 Head and cabinet and love it. For Christmas my wife bought me the POD HD PRO X rack unit so I could do some home recording. I'm wondering if I can somehow use both together to take advantage of the tones and amps in the POD? I can't seem to find a lot of videos on Youtube that relate..

Thanks....

For recording:

No, you can't.

At least not in the method your are trying to avoid, lol. If you want the sound of your Katana MK2 Head and cabinet, you need to mic it.

The digital recording aspect of the Pod won't capture the sound of your rig. Only a mic can do that.

For all other playing:

Sure, you can plug* the Pod into the Boss.

Rock on.

*how you plug it in is variable due to personal preferences.
