nok15105157
Hey everyone, I am trying to get the output from the stereo amps on my PODHD500x to be the same, but the left side (amp) is louder than the right side. I have found that turning down the volume (not the master volume, but the other volume knob right next to the master), to half solves this problem, but I want to be able to turn both knobs up without having this problem. Do you know how I might be able to fix this? I've never had this problem until now and am not sure what to do to fix it. Thanks in advance! pianoguyy
To answer the question as it is stated: assign both volume controls to the exp pedal. But that really won't work because you'd be moving them in a linear motion. As one amp has already displayed itself to be louder than the other, moving two volumes by the same amount would actually cause them to separate again. If you have 2 different amps in the same patch, one panned left and the other panned right, you can't expect to perceive them the same as loud if each of them has the same volume setting value. By nature, all amp and cab models have different characteristic volumes, therefore as an example the same 50% output volume level setting on a certain amp model gives always a different result with a different amp model. Only if the 2 amps in a patch are the same model and all their settings are identical to each other they should have the same loudness (given for granted that the mixer Pan controls and volume faders are set in a symmetrical way, and the left and right output channels are connected through the same type of output connectors, jack or xlr), if not it means that something doesn't work as it should. A firmware reflashing, global reset and pedal calibration could perhaps solve the issue, otherwise the unit needs to be serviced. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
nok15105157
Thanks so much! They are the same amps and have identical settings, so I think that it is an internal issue. Thanks for the input! Noah
