optilude
Hi, I have an old original Variax (300?) that has a broken input jack assembly. Specifically the socket is snapped and the thick(ish) green wire that is soldered to the “MG1 Output Rev D” PCB is cut. See attached image. I’ve managed to source a replacement jack assembly which appears to have an identical PCB. However, I can’t tell what the green wire (soldered to the second point on the top right in the photo) is meant to attach to. There’s no obvious “other end” of it. (The black wire disappears under the main PCB and into the body of the guitar through a small hole - not quite sure what that’s for either!). Does anyone know? Or could anyone take a photo of a properly wired one to show me? Thanks! Martin
