HX Stomp Routing

Hey. New HX Stomp owner.  Quick question that I can't find the answer for.  I'm using the 4CM to connect the HX Stomp into my amp. I'm trying to add a delay (physical delay pedal, Boss DD-8) into the effects loop while still keeping the 4CM. I'd really like to have the DD-8 in the effects loop somehow and am not sure how to do it with the 4CM being how everything is hooked up. Anyone mind telling me how, assuming it's possible?

HXS has TWO FX Loops, FX Loop L (TIP out of the TRS FX Send) and FX Loop R (RING).

Assuming that you'd want the Delay AFTER your amp's preamp, make FX Loop L your 4cm loop, and place FX Loop R Block wherever you want it after the FX Loop L Block.

Use an "INSERT" cable (1/4" TRS to dual 1/4" TS) to wire your two loops.

If you MUST have a STEREO delay, sell your HXS and get the full fat Helix Floor or Rack, which have FOUR FX loops. That way you use one for 4cm and two for stereo FX.

Great advice is already given by rd2rk... I just want to add an option.

If you don't want to use two effect loop blocks.... you could very simply add it to your existing 4cm setup.

You can choose to place it before or after the amp... but you will have to manually turn it on/off separate from the stomp.

The only issue here is that some amps "send" at a line level, and the DD8 is not going to like that very much. That would force you to place the delay before the amp.
