Volume & wah pedal confusing

I'm sure it's simple but i'm confused.

I have exp2 set to control Volume. Works as expected but from 1% to 100% - my problem is at 0% it turns off, effectively becoming 100%. Surely this isn't right, I just can't see how to change that.

Secondly, I have exp1 to a Wah. Works great but when I latch back to exp2 (Volume) the tone remains stuck at a high frequency. Basically the Wah stays on.

I'm sure this is user error, but have tried everything to fix - any advice appreciated.

Sounds like an assignment mix-up. Is it on all patches or just one patch you're modifying?  If the latter, easiest fix is to copy the default volume & wah block from a 'New' patch over to the patch you're having problems with, and the default settings will be back in your patch.

hmmm....so does this happen on all the factory patches with the volume pedal issue? If you so, I think you need to return it or get a service ticket going with Line 6....Screwed up wah or volume assignment can happen when you are poking around, but that volume behavior is really odd to me and kinda sounds like a hardware problem...

I think that's a heck of a jump to make on virtually no information and before the poor guy has even had a chance to clarify.  Is he using the latest firmware? Early versions had a glitch on a section of patches. Almost certainly this is either an assignment and/ or settings mix up, or if it is happening on all patches it could be a global setting or a software glitch which might require reinstalling software. The chances of this behaviour being hardware with a component failure is very, very unlikely.

sure assignments are easy to mess up...but pedal tracking 1-100 with full on 0 is extremely odd and reminds me of a few pedal issues I have seen over the years that actually turned out to be hardware.

My post was very specific to the pedal tracking if it is occurring on factory patches and the reason I recommended the service ticket if that was the case. Let Line 6 help him with further diag to determine what is going on...Sometimes, they like to get odd things like this back and it seemed odd enough to me to recommend a service ticket. Sorry just my opinion

Sure, I appreciate that, and respect your opinion - but I'd still be interested to see what he comes back with as I just can't see it being a mechanical fault.  I've seen this problem before and it was a settings issue where there were conflicting assignments as between the wah & volume. I'd also like to check he's not using any external pedal and there's perhaps a polarity reversal happening. Probably no other pedals, but worth just checking.

respect you too sir.

right on. I generally just ask about one question when there is very little information on the setup and what has been tried...Those items you listed certainly would come next...So you really have seen the 0% Full...1%-100% normal taper? I have never seen that precisely on any of their pedals. But if you have seen that and reset worked, nice one sir. really nice suggestion BTW....
