ViciousRiff
Hi, I'm considering trying out POD but before I buy it I'd be grateful if someone can answer the following question. The computer I use for recording is not connected to the internet. Can I download POD to a USB and then transfer it to my music computer without any problems with regard to activation codes and registration? Can I also use this method for updates? I've done this before with other software packages. With some it's been straightforward and with others a total nightmare! Thanks in advance for your help! TheRealZap
you can do that easy enough... there is no activation or licenses included so its a non issue. (ASSUME YOU MEAN POD HD) if you are talking about an older XT or X3 there may be some hassle involved.
ViciousRiff
I'm thinking of POD Farm 2.5 with the Metal Shop pack. Thanks for your help!
TheRealZap
there would be some licensing issues with pod farm and the model packs. it would be easiest to just connect and authorize... there was an older offline activation procedure, but i have not tried it since the license manager was released. it involved authorizing on another computer and moving files... kind of a pain. I'm thinking of POD Farm 2.5 with the Metal Shop pack. Thanks for your help!

ViciousRiff
Thanks RealZap. I was afraid that might be the case! Thanks Toneman. Is there a link on there that explains how to do it? I couldn't find anything.
