Steve_roberts
I pulled my Helix from the closet, went to update to the newest firmware...and everything froze with the error message on my Helix Floor stating: "Boot Failuire, Entered Update Mode! Now, nothing will change...it's all stuck and nothing I do seems to help. Please help! Stevve
SaschaFranck
I posted this somewhere else already, seemed to help some folks, so give it a try: - Quit HX Edit! Don't start it again until you're finished with everything following. - Go here and download the Line 6 Updater (in case it's not installed on your machine already): https://line6.com/software/ - Also download the "Flash Memory" from there (it's the actual update). - Install the updater. - Reboot the Helix while holding down switches 6 and 12 (this will take you to safe boot mode). - Start the Line 6 Updater, select "Offline Mode" and see whether it finds your Helix. - If yes, select it and choose "local file". Point it to the Flash Memory file you've downloaded. Note for Windows users: You need to kill HX Edit running as a background service after closing the program. In case you don't know how to do so, just reboot after closing HX Edit.

Steve_roberts
Also, When I attempt to open the Flash Memory, I get the error message: There is no application set to open the document “HELIX_Floor_v3.11.0-_0xb5021b036_bundle (9).hxf”. Hi, Okay - go here and follow the instructions given, to the letter, unless you are using a Mac, where you should select your Mac OS from the “- ALL OS -“ option. The other instructions are essentially common.
SaschaFranck
Did you connect the Helix to a genuine USB port (in other words: Not through a HUB or the front panel USB outlets of whatever desktop computer)? That's absolutely mandatory.
