smittyjones502
Trying to create a good SRV type preset, using Plexi 100 Brt as the top amp and a Blackface Normal as the bottom amp. If I turn the top amp off and turn the bypass volume all the way down there is no sound coming from the bottom amp. With the bypass volume all the way up on the top amp I just get a slight un-amped tone that comes through.
hurghanico
I wonder if you are using the single input approach (eg input1=guitar//input2=variax or aux or mic=null) without having at least one (mono) FX placed in front of both the amp models in the chain in pre split position. If so, it's normal (and expected) that no signal can go to the amp placed on the bottom row (path B), and in this case there would be 2 solutions: - place a mono FX like a noise gate or booster or overdrive in pre split position in the chain, .... or.. - just set input2=same or guitar each of the above solutions gives different results in terms of tone and amount of gain/distortion _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
smittyjones502
I finally figured it out. On the main mix section path A was panned all the way left and path B was panned all the way right and I only have the left output of the unit plugged into my recording interface (guess it's time to get a better unit for this.) Thanks for replying Hurghanico.

Guitarman33172
Smittyjones502, when I first tried using dual amp tones I had the same experience, so, I feel your pain..lol!! Since you are wanting a good SRV tone I thought I’d mention that Stevie Ray ran two cascading Tube screamers into the front of his amp to super saturate the amp input. I can’t tell you how much gain he set the Screamer pedals at or the tone setting he set the Screamers at but That’s all I know. Good luck in your tone chasing!!
