You’re right - you can’t. The selection and position of blocks in a preset is fixed with respect to snapshots. You can change the on/off state and parameter settings in snapshots but not the selection or positioning of the blocks.

Thanks, I've now found the page in the manual...I did look but went past it ... It's under the Octopuses!

You’d think all those octopuses would have enough arms to discretely reposition a block as you changed snapshots.  ;-)

Agreed....you see I completely understand that you can't have different effects or amps in snap shots as a snapshot is simply a variation of what's in the patch. But I'm struggling to understand why you cant change a patch chain order...its illogical because you're still only using what's there and you're not adding anything new.  As we all know, changing effect chain order can drastically impact on tone and it would be a useful feature.

Interestingly you can change the cab microphone selection between different snapshots which can be useful to change tone in the same patch.

I don’t know for sure but my guess would be that it’s not as much DSP capacity as a different reason. Allowing snapshots to switch amp or FX models would probably result in the sort of audio gaps that defeats the main purpose of snapshots.  The audio gap between presets is caused by loading new preset structure and model data. That’s what would be required here.
