TheTimeProphet
I have recorded a Pod Go in Reaper by using it as an interface, but is there a way to record a USB microphone at the same time. The trouble is in Reaper it has to be set to Pod Go ASIO, and then I can't set it to the microphone. I wonder if there is a way around this? I thought of routing it through OBS, but not sure if this is the best idea.
silverhead
You can’t do this with the POD Go as the audio interface. It’s a technical limitation of the ASIO protocol, in addition to the fact that the POD Go will not accept a USB mic as an input. To record the two signal simultaneously you will need to use a different audio interface, one that accepts your USB mic as an input. Then connect your POD Go audio outputs to appropriate inputs on your audio interface.
TheTimeProphet
That is a shame. It is annoying having to change interfaces when I record vocals. I wish Reaper would accept two interfaces at the same time.
cain29671
I agree with Silverhead. You will need at least a two channel audio interface that accepts at least one USB, or two single channel audio interfaces. Once you do this, you can use a driver called ASIO4ALL. It’s a free download. I have two audio interfaces, each with 2 channels and USB outputs. I was able to expand to 4 simultaneous channels into Reaper using this driver. silverhead
Just a warning about ASIO4ALL. It’s not fully compliant with the technical specs of the ASIO protocol. It will work in some cases but is known to cause problems with compliant ASIO devices such as the POD Go.
