POD HD500 FX question

How do you manage an FX in the chain that is too loud when engaged but, there is no option on the FX's parameter controls to adjust output volume. It seems to my way of thinking that EVERY FX should have it's own output parameter control so one can adjust them all individually to be at the desired volume when engaged? Anyways, just trying to figure a work around for this particular problem I have.

  • add a volume pedal block just after the effect that is too loud and assign it to the same footswitch as the effect, so that when you press the footswitch both the effect and the volume block activate simultaneously,
  • unassign the volume control (by default assigned) to the expression pedal,
  • manually select the desired volume parameter value.
  • save the patch

Thank you Hurghanico for the suggestion.

I managed to resolve my particular issue by using the "mix control" on the FX that was too loud and that solved it. I was running the mix control full up for some reason and when I backed it it down ... voila, problem solved. A rather simple fix in this case that I had totally overlooked for some reason.
