bschlenker
I would like to use the Pitch shift for dropped tuning and key changes, etc. I've seen videos where others have made this work. However, when I use the same settings on the Pitch Shift FX I get a doubling of the original tone and the shifted tone. I put the Pitch shift at the front of the pedal chain. silverhead
Which Pitch Shift model are you using? Most models include a Mix parameter which lets you set how much of each note (original/shifted) you want to hear. Hearing both is very common, especially for harmonies in guitar solos. Sounds like two players. But if you want to turn standard tuning into a bass guitar you set the Mix so that you only hear the shifted note (100%). I have a patch for Sweet Child of Mine on Custom Tone you can try that lets you toggle between standard tuning and Eb in stomp mode. Seems to work really well for Eb - it's important to have the pitch shift right at the start of your signal chain. Let me know how you get on? https://line6.com/customtone/tone/5868979/

I"m using the Simple Pitch with the Shift level at 10 and the Mix at 100%. I think what I might be hearing is the tone from the original note coming directly off the guitar string and what is coming out of the amp. When I used headphones it sounded a lot better.
