I would like to use the Pitch shift for dropped tuning and key changes, etc. I've seen videos where others have made this work. However, when I use the same settings on the Pitch Shift FX I get a doubling of the original tone and the shifted tone. I put the Pitch shift at the front of the pedal chain.

Hello, I am using a Pod HD500x and I use the harmonizer with the mix at max like a pitch shift to play in lower or higher tunings without tuning my guitar. Recently the harmonizer has been making a noise similar to turning it off and on very quickly and going in and out of tune. This will happen for about 2 seconds before it fixes itself and goes back to the tuning it is supposed to. Does anyone know why this occurring?

I have a buddy who has a helix and is able to make his guitar sound like a baritone guitar, ie “Killin Time” by Clint Black. My question is, how do I set my HD500 to do that? Sorry, just bought me a HD500 to power my Variax, so I’m pretty new to this.

I'd like to see some pedals override the volume/wah feature on this pedal... I've been using the Digitech Whammy pedal clone on here, but I can't get the tones I want because there's no way to use it as an expression pedal on the fly? Is this a possible integration for the future, or is there another way to assign pitch shift to the expression pedal on it? I'd also like a tremelo on this pedal, with it speeding up as the expression pedal moves down. Many thanks, Kai.

Hi all. I'm serious noob when it comes to pitch-shifting but have decided to have a go at Steve Vai's The Blood and Tears, and a pitch shifter is fundamental to the sound. I understand that Vai uses a Whammy on the '4th up/5th up' setting, which according to the manual bends the harmony between a fourth (toe up) and a fifth (toe down) above the input note. I have a POD HD Desktop connected to my computer and an FBV Shortboard MkII. I can assign Pitch Glide to the pedal on the FBV using the HD Edit software but have no idea how to translate the Whammy setting described above to the effect settings. Would appreciate any advice on the settings I would need to achieve this. Thanks for the help. Regards, Allan

Has anybody discovered a clever way of changing the harmonizer key for a given preset on the fly? When I'm playing live and the patch I'm using has the harmonizer set to Em but we're playing a song in F minor, how can I change the Harmonizer setting without going into the edit menu? It would suck to have to create like 8 identical patches with a different harmony key for each patch just to accomplish this. Anybody find a better way?

Hi all! I have had the 500X for awhile now and I am really enjoying it!! I've been surprised at how well all of the pedals are done and they really emulate some good sounds of outrageously priced pedals. There is one pedal that I have had trouble replicating though and that is the micro pog. I tried the pitch up and a bass octaves paired together but the sound was unclear and it didn't balance out. Then I paired 2 smart harmonies together (using the major scale setting and one with +6 and the other with -6 shift) and it was better but still not full enough. Both also were shifting the pitch really odd and they were giving me some trouble. So, I was thinking about purchasing an actual micro pog and putting it in the pedal 2 input on the board. I was just wondering how that thing worked in the first place and even if I could properly place a micro pog in my chain whilst using the 500X. Thanks for the input guys!!
