I bought a used HELIX Floor that has some GREAT presets - like the best tones ever. And can’t find where they are from so that I can buy them and have the license and not LOSE them when I update the firmware  etc…anyone know where these are from? I was thinking Robbie Calvo? I bought his rock and blues packages and these preset names are not there in the lists. Help!?688D2CEA-2641-4F40-8D8D-73A990D95D49.thumb.jpeg.b8b987e5c2431e1dc7ce4f54bba9f67e.jpegFantastic tones. Thank you!

You bought a used Helix.  Somebody must have created those presets.  People do that all the time -- create presets that fit their specific songs.  Don't want to lose them?  Just back up your Helix.  When you create a backup, you are able to save your Global Settings, Folder presets, etc.

Hi,

First thing to realise is - you don't lose anything by updating the Firmware on your Helix. In fact, the first thing you are instructed to do is make a backup of everything. Once you have this stuff backed up to your computer you can reload it into your hardware whenever you like.

As for those "RC" branded presets, they could well be from Robbie Calvo, as he has made a few preset packs for both the Helix and HX Stomp. It also maybe that they were done by someone else with those intials. You might like to double check with the person you bought the Helix from, where they acquired the presets, and what the EULA was regarding their resale. It looks to me that because the setlists have not been wiped, you may have just won s few presets that you like, as they were included as part of the sale of the unit. (Note: Legal check needed).

Strangely enough, even though Robbie Calvo has presets for sale, he doesn't list the names of each preset on his website, but for $20 you get 10 presets and 5 Jam Tracks. Contact him, and see what his presets are.

Find them here:

Hope this helps/makes sense.
