I have a Marshall 3315.  I also can not get the amp switch to work. It seems like it changes the channel.

Does anyone have a list of the to the of amps that wont work,

And what do you mean by short-sleeved inputs?

MPORTANT! Connect EXT AMP 1/2 only to amplifiers that utilize "shortto-sleeve" footswitch inputs. Connecting to any other sort of input could cause permanent damage to both your amp and Helix! If you're not sure if your amp has short-to-sleeve inputs, contact the manufacturer

Short to sleeve means that stuff is switched when there is a short (resistance close to zero Ohms) between tip and sleeve (and ring to sleeve if two functions can be switched) on the footswitch jack.

[Tip, ring and sleeve are the contacts on the 1/4" jack - you probably know about mono TS (tip-sleeve) and stereo TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) cables]

The Marshall does that. This does however just mean that nothing will be damaged. It does not mean that it works properly - it might introduce hum (a ground loop) or not switch correctly.
