Best midrange tablet to use with Catalyst and recording? iOS or android?

This topic is not 100% related to Catalyst itself but maybe some of you are using tablets for recording with Cat...I plan to change my samsung galaxy tab s6 lite someday. It is very good tablet overall but not so good in recording especially with multiple apps like Cat Edit, Audio Evolution Mobile and Spotify for example running together. Any one could recomend something in midrange price tag. What I need is something stronger than my S6 lite couse obviously its to weak to handle multiple tasks and recording. But I aslo wonder what operating system would be better android or iOS?

AFAIK, for anything audio related beyond simple music streaming you want iOS.

I bought an ancient iPad Air 2 w/64gb for $99 on Craigslist. It works fine, so anything newer w/more memory would just be even better.

Works perfectly with the Catalyst app.

I'm using AUM for recording. Works fine but TBH I don't do much of that on the iPad.
