danandme
Hi I'm new to HX Effects. I know there are various toned shared in Marketplace. Many are single tones and it seems impossible to preview anything unless it is downloaded first and loaded into a preset before testing it. This requires a lot of time and effort. I am wondering if there is any advise on how to find generic rock presets which include snapshots for jumping between clean, boosted, solo etc. Soft rock, Clean Rock, Hard Rock, Metal....etc. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks I think you mean Customtone. Other than downloading and trying them, no. My advice: Read the manual. Start with the stock presets. Examine how they work. Experiment with changing the parameters and swapping different effects from a block's category. Read the manual. Download some presets from Customtone. Examine how they work. Experiment with changing the parameters and swapping different effects from a block's category. Read the manual. This requires a lot of time and effort. Anything in life worth doing requires a lot of time and effort. Does that seem harsh? It is not harsh. IT IS THE WAY!

Take some time to read the HX FX Owner’s Manual and become familiar with it. https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a411710a6112a67116f0b/application/pdf/HX Effects 3.0 Owner's Manual - Rev C - English .pdf Other folks presets will more than likely not sound how you might expect. You would not be playing through the same gear in the same listening environment - result, usually disappointing. Learn how to make the box of tricks work with your equipment. After reading the manual, you may realise that nowhere in the text does it mention the magic “Make Me a Rock God” (or whatever) button. It doesn’t exist - it requires a lot of time and effort from you. Nobody else can do this for you. Oh, yeah - did anyone mention RTFM! Harsh? Nope, it’s reality. Hope this helps/makes sense. seqdabo
Try Customtone and search for "snapshot". Many options there to test and get a feel for how it works. I used several, and then tweaked to liking, so many thanks to all contributors! I will get there soon I hope :)
