Hi, That’s a rather curious question. It depends what the presets were designed to be used with? Helix, Rack and LT units have 2 DSPs and can handle more signal paths. The HX Stomp and XL devices are limited to a single DSP. Helix Native is a software plugin and only restricted by the processing power of your computer. As for “desktop software” - the only thing that runs from the computer as an application is HX Edit. You need to have your hardware connected via USB, then HX Edit will display the current presets onboard your HX unit. Any third party presets, or downloads from CustomTone can then be “drag and dropped” into available empty slots, or overwrite existing presets, in HX Edit. Any changes made in HX Edit are transferred to your hardware device. If the “Djent / Prog Rock” packs you mention were purchased from the Line 6 Marketplace, or even a third party vendor on the internet, you should have been informed as to which specific device they were created for.
