Garfo
Hi all, im having a rather annoying time trying to switch certain preset snapshots to a boosted solo on my Helix LT... in doing so theres a loud crack. (Doesnt sound good at all) ivetried reducing gain on the amp block but doesnt seem to help. Is there a easy enough solution to get rid of this annoying noise? Any help most appreciated. silverhead
This likely related to gain staging. Are you switching 'on' other FX blocks for the boosted solo? If so it's likely that those blocks need to be inspected for levels. While in you non-solo snapshot, try activating any additional blocks used in your boost snapshot one at a time. You may find that one or more of them is contributing to the problem. Try adjusting levels/settings within those blocks.
theElevators
There a bunch of things that create a loud pop/boinkkk/crackle between snapshots. For me the worst one was going from an acoustic sim (no amp) to distortion: distortion, eq, amp/cab. Also there's a horrible noise when you turn off one amp and turn on another one. Try to isolate what block is creating the noise and we can help you find a workaround/solution. For example for 2 amps (one on, one off), the only thing that works without the noise is an A/B loop. Some effects should be placed in the beginning of the chain if they run by themselves (acoustic sim).
