johnnygomezmusic
Hey all! quick question here. 90% of the time I use an expression pedal with my stomp. I mainly use it to control my volume block. sometimes, I don't need a volume pedal so I just dont plug one in but I save my volume block setting to 100%. what's interesting is that with the volume block in the chain, even at 100% (I use the LOG setting, same results with linear), everything is quieter than simply bypassing the block. this doesn't seem right as I'd expect 100% to be unity... is this a bug perhaps? I have the latest firmware installed. Thanks for your help! jg
johnnygomezmusic
Nevermind! I usually run mono and was experimenting with stereo in and out. if you have the main right output plugged in (and muted at the interface/amp/mixer like I had), and you put a mono fx block in your signal path, you lose level (presumably one “side”). using stereo blocks got me back to normal level! Just to clarify… placement of the mono block is critical. You can have mono blocks anywhere in your signal path, but if the last block is mono then you will see the issue you describe. If the last block is a stereo block then you get back to ‘normal level’ with your setup.
