ToneRanger72
I've been trying to find if there is a global setting or something so that when you switch presets the volume block automatically adjusts to when your expression pedal is set. I had an issue where it was at a quiet portion of my band's set and I had the volume/expression pedal down, but when I switched presets the volume block defaulted to full on, independent of the pedal position, and all the sudden I had this burst of noise (embarrassing.) Does such a setting exist in the Helix?
ToneRanger72
Actually, right after I posted the above I found there is a global expression pedal position setting - would this be what I am looking for? So if I have the pedal off and switch presets it stays in the off position?

For my needs I set the expression pedals to be set per preset. So even if the expression pedal is at 100% physically, when I switch to another preset where it's saved at 0%, the expression pedal will show at 0% until I start moving it. You just need to re-save your presets to make sure that the position is as you need it. Just double-check every preset in question, and move the pedal up down so HX Edit registers a change, then save it.

Thanks for the reply - I knew that was probably an option to set the vol block in the preset at zero and save, but ultimately I would want the volume block to act as a volume pedal would on a analog rig - so off is off. My other expression pedals for effects would be per preset. Like I said, it was pretty embarrassing in a quiet, intimate section of the set to have the volume pedal down thinking I was going to be nice and silent, switch a preset and get a blast on noise from the volume block being up full blast.
