vc027708
Hi all. I just purchased my HX Stomp a couple weeks ago. I thought I had everything figured out for recording and playing back the dry output through Helix Native, but I've run into a problem. Last week, I was able to record both the Wet (USB 1) and Dry (USB 5) outputs to Garageband at the same time. For some reason, I now cannot see any signal in Garageband from USB 5. USB 1 still works perfectly. I'm assuming I'm not the only one to ever experience this, but, being the noob that I am, I'm not sure what has changed. Any help is appreciated! HI, I usually only use GarageBand on my iPad for grabbing ideas quickly which I can then load into Logic in the studio later. Anyhow, I have a copy Of GarageBand on my studio Mac, and opened it up to see if I could find anything obvious. O.K. the situation is, when you create a new audio track to record the HX Stomp processed audio that comes on USB 1&2, you can see the level meters respond to the input - good. Next you should set a second audio track with mono line input to USB 5. Then if you right click (or use Option T on the keyboard) on the highlighted Audio track you should get a pop up menu where you set "Record Enable" shown as a white dot in red square - you can now click it on in the AudioTrack so that it is armed ready to record from your selected USB channels. Before recording anything save the Project as a template that you can load up next time and you should be ready to go. Also, if you have previously recorded within GarageBand some processed audio on USB 1&2, and dry on USB 5, you could make a duplicate of that file (always work on a copy) that you can load up again and then delete the existing audio which should leave you a "blank canvas" already set up to record from your Stomp. Hope this helps/makes sense.

rd2rk
I was trying to figure out how to do this on my iPad, since I don't have a MAC, and stumbled upon that by accident! If anybody's interested, on an iPad in Track View you drag the Track Header to the right to get those options.
vc027708
Thanks for the input, however, I already had these things covered. That being said, I have no idea what changed, but I fired everything up this afternoon and it’s working just as it did before.

Just like the hardware - when weird, unexplained stuff starts to happen... REBOOT!
