robbmelancon
I have a Helix floor connected to a Powercab 112 plus with an AES cable in the L6/AES connection. My helix is set to digital output and the patch under the Powercab settings is set to speaker "Brown". When switching to the patch, it is not setting the Powercab to the "Brown" speaker. The Powercab stays on whatever speaker is selected and it changes the speacker patch on the Powercab to <Edited>. I can't tell what parameter has been changed on the Powercab but I can switch speakers and then again switch to the patch on the helix, it's not changing to the speaker set in the Helix patch and just puts whatever speaker is selected on the Powercab to an <Edited> state. Helix and Powercab both set midi channel 1. It's a new AES cable in the AES/L6 output and input respectively. Am I not understanding how its supposed to work? Any ideas or things I need to check? Thanks in advance.
rd2rk
Attach the preset and I'll look at/test it.

rd2rk
On the Powercab Tab, REMOTE is set to OFF. Set REMOTE to PRESET.
rwandering
This is an issue that confuses many when first using the AES/BEU cable to change the settings on a PowerCab+. The Helix does not switch presets on the PC+; it changes the settings that make up the currently selected PC+ preset. Note the changes aren't saved. So, yes, you will see "PRESET NAME (edit)" on the PC+ display. If you want to verify the settings, you can go into the menu on the PC+. Note this has nothing to do with MIDI; that is not transmitted through your AES cable. If you want to change the PC+ presets, you can do this easily with MIDI. (and a MIDI cable). I use both a Helix LT and an HX Stomp XL. For one I use AES, the other I use MIDI. And for the presets I share between the two, I have them both configured. somebodyelse
That's normal. As long as the display says <edited> and the ring colour changed, assuming you changed speaker model, it's all good.

Not very intuitive but I understand what's happening now. I was expecting it switch the PC+ to "Brown", not to edit whatever speaker it was on to "Brown".
