I know crazy question. There are no techs nearby that work Line6 Spider Valve amps. I love my Mk1 HD100 head, however I am seeing issues with the controls, the channel c button no longer works and just some general oddness. I also have a Mk1 Spider Valve 40w combo. Can I scavenge parts like a control board or other things from the 40w combo to use in the HD100 head?

First off,... keep your fingers out of the insides of it. Even with the power off, there some high volt capacitors in there,

and it really hurts when you get zapped by them.

Second, self repair of these tube amps is ill advised, unless you have lots of experience with these,...

... because third, if something goes wrong, it could get further damaged beyond anyone's ability to fix.

https://line6.com/find/service_center/  , so go with the authorized service tech with experience with our products.

No. Different boards,... especially the main boards as they are programmed different for 112, 212 combos and the heads.

And output load boards and UI boards are different. Combo parts are NOT interchangeable with head parts (and vice versa).

"General oddness ",... when was the last time the tubes (valves) were replaced???

Are the specified 12AX7 pre-amp and matched quartet Sovtech 5881 medium tubes?
