Which version of the BE-100 is the Placater based on? It sounds like different iterations of the Friedman had different clean channel circuits - earlier on maybe Fender or Vox style, and the Deluxe maybe is more of a Plexi?

Hi,

Here is the info in a video about the BE-100 on which the Placter Clean is based:-

The info about the Clean Channel is around 2:10

Hope this helps/makes sense.

No. The Deluxe version wasn't even released when the Placater was added to the Helix. It's a normal BE 100 from 2016 or 2017. The clean channel can sound a lot like in the video though. It can rock like a Plexi with Drive cranked and high Master.

The one modeled in the Helix is the Deluxe? I thought it was one of the older versions.

Oops! Apologies.

That video is the one linked on the Helix Help website and it usually very good for information such as this.

Obviously, it didn’t make sense or help this time.
