what I'd like to see with the catalyst

Not sure if this would ever happen, but I think it would be very cool if you could save any HX amp or effect in the catalyst amp directly (not via the software for the pc).

 

I mean, for example, I like a chorus, but NOT an octaver chorus as is standard on the catalyst. It would be nice if I could go into a library of effects and overwrite any ou of teh box effect with something different. That way I could customize the amp to my specifications and not have to worry about plugging into a PC.

 

Similarly, it would be sweet if we could do the same with the amp models. If I don't use the high gain amps, it would be nice if I could login to a HX library and save another amp model to overwrite what is currently there.

 

This way you'd still be limited to x number of amps and effects, but you could make your amp truly customized.

 

Wouldn't that be fun?

I'll vote for it, even though I'm totally happy with what's already in it and, actually, I am happy that you CAN'T do that because, having a Helix, I don't need it and find the limited # of amps a refreshing break from the options paralysis and endless tweaking that I sometimes experience with Helix - TOO MUCH of a good thing isn't always good!

Sometimes I like to just turn on my Cat, put it in MANUAL mode, and just PLAY!
