I'm running my Helix with an external amp/cab via the 4 cable method and I'm looking to use the gain from the amp (with a Helix overdrive) but switch to a Helix preamp (most likely JC120 or Fender style) with Chorus for the cleans and bypass the preamp of my 6505. Might be worth mentioning I still need to engage the fx loop (with delay/reverb/EQ) with the gain channel for leads. Apologies if already posted but struggling to find a way to do this. Schmalle Posted November 30 Share Posted November 30 Use a preamp and an fx loop block in series in your patch. Engage Stomp Mode. Bypass assign both blocks to the same foot switch.
