Dalfonaut
After installing firmware 3.80 the presets i was using were deleted. Is there a way I can get them back? Also the Update notification said that was highly recommended to "Restore your device from the back up you just created. What does it mean? silverhead
I presume you are using a Helix device. The firmware update procedure required you to create a system backup; that’s what the reference means. Since your presets were deleted you must have performed the recommended device reset which installed the factory presets and deleted all else. You can restore your entire device to its pre-update state using HX Edit. Select the Restore from Backup item in the File menu. When restoring the backup file If you wish to keep the new factory presets click on the triangle beside the Presets item and de-select setlists 1, 2, and 8.

Creating a backup file of all your patches in HX Edit is always Step 1 before updating the firmware... if you didn't do that, then anything you created yourself is gone and you're out of luck. Factory presets can always be reinstalled, but without backups for ones that you built yourself, you can't get them back.
