mtnman82
Been reading some other threads and am confused... Looking to send XLR with cab sim to FOH and 1/4" without cab sim to a power amp/cab. My presets use both lines/DSPs: wah-compressor-amp-cab-volume pedal on first line, gain boost-phaser-delay-verb on second line. Do I put cab last in the chain and split outputs before the cab (does not seem 'right' to me)? Is there a global setting to turn off cab sim per output? Is there a setting in the cab's themselves to control sending to specific outputs?

Yes, no and no.
mtnman82
Not at home to try this - will moving the cab to the end of the signal chain change my tone(s), will I need to re-tweak everything again?
theElevators
My advice is to leave the cab sim intact. That way you can add delays, reverbs before/after and the sound will be consistent. I never bothered removing the cab sim and toured around the world with the Helix. Best to treat the amp on stage out as a monitor,

No, you will not need to tweak in most cases if your signal chain is mono. If something sounds different it's probably because the cab is mono and sums it's left and right input to mono. For this dual cabs in stereo is an option. In some cases when you use a high signal level after the amp some unwanted clipping / saturation in some post amp fx (e.g. delays with Headroom parameter) might occur. Lower the amp model's Level parameter to solve this. Have fun!
