p8guitar
I cannot find any information in the Helix manual about the specification and calibration of external expression pedals. What wiring is expected, which pedals are compatible? How do you calibrate the external pedals? My Roland EV-5 doesn't work well with the Helix. When its 'minimum Volume' pot is set to 0 (= default setting), the parameter on the Helix goes from min to max to min when the pedal travels from min to max! When the EV-5's minimum volume is set to 10, the parameter on the helix goes from 0% to 92%, not to 100%. The latest thread that I found is from 2018. It doesn't help me with my problem. A 10kOhm linear potentiometer on the tip of the TRS socket is expected. Most expression pedals have the reversed pot wired to the ring. With these use a TRS cable. A TS cable connects ring to ground which leads to unintended behavior.
