jadamwilson2
Hey, I've had my Helix Floor for about 2 months now, and have played several gigs and rehearsals with it. I have noticed that after turning everything on and setting levels (amp volume at 10 o'clock, master helix volume about 9 o'clock), after a minute or so the volume immediately cuts, and I have to turn the volume knobs each to about 12 o'clock. The sound doesn't feel as "full" either, but that might just be the jolt of going from a nice loud volume to being cut abruptly. * I am using several guitars, it is the same with each. (A Strat and an ES335). * The amp is a Fender Tonemaster FRFR 12. * I use an XLR cable from the helix to the amp. * This is replicated in several locations, so I don't think power is an issue. * This doesn't seem to happen going through headphones. Edit - I just found this post from 10 years ago, a few updates: * There are no external expression pedals connected. * This volume drop is applied to all patches. * The pedal is not acting as a volume pedal, and it is pressed completely down. * The decreased volume remains even after turning the Helix and the amp off for about 10 seconds. Any suggestions are welcome!
Schmalle
That problem in the thread you quoted was due to a defective mixing desk channel. Try to connect to a different device / amp and check if the problem still is present.
