rwinking
Trying to get my head around this thing. What I am attempting to do is use my Quad Cortex for both an acoustic and electric rig. So I have a Grace Felix plugged into input number 1 for acoustic and then my QC into input number 2 for electric. I noticed that when I have different things in each input, it only comes out one speaker. It's like each input is assigned to one or the other speaker. If I plug the QC into input I and the Felix into input 2 my electric guitar from the QC only comes out one side. If I unplug the Felix from input 2 input one gets both speakers. Is this normal? More importantly, is there a way from me to do what I am attempting..... have whatever I have plugged into one input or the other come out both speakers? I also have a 112+ but have not tried it on there since it only has one speaker anyway. I hope I am explaining myself on this. It is kind of confusing to me... rd2rk
That does appear to be the way that it works. The fix (I have a Helix) is to connect the Felix to a Return and place the Return right before the Output. If you can do something similar with your QC you should be good. Otherwise you'll need to use a mixer.
rwinking
Thanks a Iot! This is putting me closer for sure. I also have a Helix and Stomp XL. I'm still not sure how this would work. Do I put an FX return block on the Helix right before I assign an output? I am pretty sure if I can do this on the Helix, I can then adapt it to the QC . It's interesting that I tried this with input 1 & 2 on my Powercab 112+ and there is no issue. It must have something to do with the stereo capability of the 212+? rick
rd2rk
Place the Return Block last in the signal chain, just before the Output Block. For the HXS/HXSXL, since FX Blocks are more limited, if you're not using the FX Loops (nothing is free!), set the RETURN TYPE to AUX and connect the Felix to the L/Mono Return. Yeah, the PC112+ has only one speaker, so...
