Helix LT pedal broken - 2025

I wonder if they still replace these units. I bought mine in Jan 2018 and haven't used the pedal much. Decided to use it yesterday modulating some effects and it was broken. Already opened a support ticket. Also since I don't have any warranty after 7 years I've decided to open the Helix LT and take a look at what's happening inside. It seems to be the same problem that people were having years ago.

I've taken a few pictures.840767650_helix1.thumb.jpg.98e20d69ae5b3dc3b91078682cf7856d.jpg

Hello!

Given your Helix LT was purchased in January 2018, a free replacement after seven years is unlikely, as the standard warranty is much shorter. However, reports from that era suggest Line 6 may have offered replacements for faulty expression pedals due to a known early issue. Your best course of action is to pursue your My Acuvue Rewards open support ticket, mentioning this historical context. Be prepared that repair options, either through Line 6 (likely at cost), third-party services, or DIY fixes, are more probable outcomes at this stage.

I would just take off the pedal, and get a small external one and velcro it to the body.

Velcro?? Why not weld it to the Helix LT, then glue the Exp 1 input with silicone?

Maybe I could saw off the whole pedal area with an angle grinder, then weld it together with the end part, making a one-off, ultra unique, pedal-less Helix LT. Minds will be blown when people see that lollipop

yeah!  Gorilla Glue is so strong.  My previous rig consisted of MS-3 little processor, and I glued 2 side buttons to it.  Toured with that extensively :).  But with Velcro, you can take it off, in case then new pedal breaks...

And lighten up.  Why are you so mad.  LT is a flimsier version of the Helix.  Just giving you some options.  If my LT pedal broke, I'd do the same as I suggested.

I'm not mad, just joking around. You know I guess while I'm at it I could drill a few holes in the chassis and attach a fan for better ventilation. Connect it to whatever powers the pedal since that no longer works.

Or if we get really DIY here, I could cut a square around the pedal area, fill it with little tiles, repurpose one of the inputs and build a little fountain so my cat can drink water from it while I play the guitar.

I'd just add a urinal to it.  Sometimes you really gotta go.  And a smoke machine.
