clairsl
Hi, I am using 4 snapshots on my HX effects, but I want to use them optionally during the song. Ideally I would have 5 snapshots, but there are only 4 on the HX Effects. I can activate and switch between the snapshots fine, but I can't have them all off - there is always one selected - is there anyway to toggle the snapshots on and off? Have searched the forums, read the manuals, tried different options in the command center but can't find a way to do this. Thanks
silverhead
You are misunderstanding the concept of snapshots. There are, indeed, only four (limited by device design and architecture) and exactly one of them is always active. You can’t turn them all ‘off’, you must have one active at any given time. It’s similar to the pickup selector switch on a guitar. The switch is always in one position or another and one combination of pickups is always active. There’s no extra position to ‘turn them all off’ and still have sound.
Schmalle
Press MODE and TAP to bypass all effects. Manual p.11: Quote There are two types of All Bypass for the HX Effects device: Analog bypass (sometimes called “true bypass”), where mechanically switching relays route your signal directly from the inputs to the outputs with no processing or A/D/A conversion, and DSP bypass, where any delay echoes and reverb tails decay naturally. By default, the HX Effects hardware is set for Analog bypass, but this behavior can be set from Global Settings -> Preferences.
TobiasLancaster
Snapshots always active; consider bypass settings for flexible on/off control. Spoiler Unfortunately, on the HX Effects, one snapshot must always be active—there’s no way to have “none” selected. Snapshots recall specific states, so bypassing all snapshots isn’t supported. As a workaround, consider setting one snapshot as your “bypass” or neutral state. Alternatively, assign footswitches to toggle individual effects independently of snapshots for more flexible control.
