moeydi
Hello, one question to the developers: When will it be possible to use Helix Native on Windows concerning MIDI implementation as most of all other plugins on the market? The fact that there´s no CC-support makes this plugin in my opinion useless in a live situation even with support of hosts like Gig Performer. So good it is in the studio so bad it is live. Please change that BR Tom
silverhead
Not sure what you mean. There is a section in the Helix Native manual describing parameter automation features, including midi automation. Please describe what you want to do beyond those capabilities.
rd2rk
Also not sure what you mean. The only MIDI function not available in Windows is Preset Change (PC#s). All other MIDI functions controlled by CC are fully functional.
moeydi
Hello rd2rk, hello silverhead, you´re right concerning CC, that works. But my issue is more the missing PC funcionality. I mainly use on my Helix LT PCcommands to change the sound via Ableton. On Helix Native that does not work on Windows. BR Tom
silverhead
Oh… your initial post mentioned lack of CC support with no mention of PC.
rd2rk
If you have a Helix, you can use NATIVE as it was designed to be used - to re-amp DI tracks. Unless your Helix presets have grown so complicated that you're frequently running out of DSP? I use my Helix for MIDI control of OTHER amp sims - particularly THU, which has a FAR superior MIDI implementation to NATIVE, which, TBH, is a PITA to use with MIDI even where it DOES work. THU allows GLOBAL and/or per preset CC mappings. Set them once, done! However, you need to use the VST2 version to use PC#s for preset changes. VST3 does not support PC#s in ANY amp sim. Running Helix Native smoothly on Windows often comes down to driver conflicts or DAW settings. Sometimes reinstalling or adjusting buffer size helps. Interestingly, managing software issues feels a lot like handling restrictions, when they don’t work as intended, resources like https://zarubezhnye-kazino.com/et/hasartmangu-keeld/hasartmangu-keelu-tuhistamine/ show how lifting limits can restore proper functionality. Thank you, I will keep it in mind.
