Hx stomp knob between page buttons locked up? How to fix or get warranty help

The knob between the page buttons locked up while I was working on a patch this afternoon.  It won’t turn or push anymore.  My warranty runs up 12/29/25.

I am trying to figure out how to get help remedying this.

honestly I don’t have many miles on the stomp.  I tend to baby my gear.  So the knob locking up on me is frustrating, but I get that these things happen.

Make sure that you're on the latest FW (3.80).

If not, update now.

If that doesn't fix it -

Perform a Factory Reset.

If that doesn't fix it -

Re-install the FW (FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS!).

If that doesn't fix it -

If you're in the US, call support.

If not or are you unable to call, log on to Line 6, go to support and open a support ticket.

In that case your only options are:

Open a support ticket.

They'll probably tell you to ship it to them in California.

I had the top knob (between VIEW/SAVE) on mine simply start doing crazy stuff.

It was out of warranty, but I shipped it to them and they replaced the whole unit.

They're good that way.

locked up, as in it won't turn?  Try liquid DeoxIT.  Pull it off, then add some so it drips down the shaft.  Or if you have it in a can to spray, that should work as well.

I've also used WD-40 for buttons/knobs of various devices that corroded and wouldn't press/turn.  For example, my coffee maker, pool heater on/off switch... I'm not kidding, in a pinch, try it, but don't use too much.  But DeoxIT is a safe product, that fixes all sorts of issues, and it's non-conductive, just like WD-40.

Hey just wanted to follow up!  Unit is all repaired.  Once I figured out the process for setting up a repair everything was a breeze.  I was able to find a local repair shop, they handled all the paperwork with Line6.  The encoder knob was replaced and we are good to go.  All under warranty.

This experience has added to my respect for what Line6 is doing.
