I'd like to trigger a piece of outboard lighting controller gear which accepts Midi notes for pre-programmed lighting scenes. I'd really really like to use Snapshot control of instant commands to specify the note. After some doing I've been able to save different Midi notes to each snapshot (I think this process is unreliable as well), but the unit is VERY inconsistent on whether or not it sends the note, and even when it sends the note, I've timed it at least 10 seconds in some cases. Showcase may address this once the Showcase feature is ready for prime time, so to speak. Reach out to support to find out if it is a bug. You’re likely seeing a software bug: snapshot‑triggered MIDI notes save inconsistently and sometimes send with long delays, even up to 10 seconds. Since MIDI should be instant, this points to unreliable snapshot recall.
