rmfegley
Hi, New Helix LT user here. In the Helix LT 3.80 manual, it says the following about assigning parameters to be controlled by snapshots: Quote Push-turn a few knobs to assign their parameters to the Snapshots controller automatically. The parameter’s values appear white and in brackets) to indicate it is assigned. I also saw this shortcut described in a tutorial on snapshots on another Helix site. However, I'm not able to get this to work. I push the knob (amp channel volume in this case) and turn to adjust the value, but the value is not bracketed in white, and the change remains global across snapshots. I can manually assign by pushing and holding the parameter knob until the controller assignment page appears and manually selecting snapshots, and then it works fine. I'm just wondering why the shortcut doesn't seem to work for me. Thanks for any insight. I'm loving the Helix so far.
silverhead
The push/turn action needs to be quick. Release the knob immediately after turning, then adjust the value.
rmfegley
Thanks for the reply. I was able to get it to work. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong, now I can't reproduce making it NOT work, but I had tried several times without success before posting here. Anyway, all is good with it now. The value appears in color, indicating no controller is assigned to it.” See page 51 of the manual, also more details available on page 60 - “Clearing a Block’s Controller Assignment(s)” and “Clearing All Controller Assignments” Hope this helps/makes sense.
