PaulTBaker
I love the templates... however, how do you see what the template is made up of? The only way I can see to do this is to add a new preset and select a template.... that CAN"T BE THE ONLY WAY TO DO THAT??? please tell me I am missing something. thank you
silverhead
You don’t actually need to select a New/Empty preset first; you can just tap the Menu button and then the New Preset button. I think this method is arguably more efficient than the method in the original Helix. In both cases you need to select a Template preset from a list of names before you can ‘see’ it. In the original Helix you had to navigate to the Templates setlist to select the preset from the list of names, and then copy/paste it to a specific setlist/bank/slot location, usually in a different setlist. In Stadium I think you need fewer mouse/knob actions to get to the list of template preset names and (since it doesn’t really matter) you can let Stadium place it in the first available Empty Preset location in the USER preset area. silverhead
I think it's easiest by using the device, not the app. Hit the main menu button, select New Preset, select a Template from the list of template names (same as original Helix) then hit New Preset. Give it a name.
PaulTBaker
Thanks silv for the response. I had been mostly using the app. I will come up with some better naming conventions, that should help. My point was, sometimes, I can't remember exactly what was in the template and just being able to tap on the template (from the app maybe?) and see the chain somehow... a popup window, sort of like when you tap a control and you get a window that tells you about the control and even change the parameters. I would not need to change the parameters, but I would love to see the chain so I could remember which was which and not have to be so detailed in the template name. Not complaining, just hoping :). I do love this thing!
silverhead
On the device hit the Main Menu button (top left corner of main display window). Select New Preset. The list of Template preset names appears. Select one and you will see the signal chain. Keep selecting names until you see the chain you want. Then hit New Preset, give it a name, and Save it (Save As New?). Stadium will put it in the first unused Empty Preset slot of the USER preset area.
PaulTBaker
Interesting, when I do this on the device.... 1. select the Main Menu (hamburger menu) 2. New Preset 3. get the list of templates (I have mine in a new folder so I select the folder and I get a list of my templates) 4. I tap (or double tap) on the template name and nothing happens. I do not see the chain 5. I select new preset after tapping on the template and THEN it takes me to a new preset starting with the template. Is that what is happening to you? The way I am reading your post makes me think that when you select (tap) the template from the template list, that you get to see the chain. Am I misreading what you are saying? Thanks again for your help!
