Helix LT 10 Stomp mode

I have been trying to use my Helix LT as a MIDI controller for plugins and I am having an issue working around the bank up/down buttons, after a little looking  about it seems there is a way to enable 10 stomp mode on an LT with a global settings backup from the bigger Helix. This would give me the ability to control the plugin and all my pre and post amp effects running in the LT.

Unfortunately I only have an LT so I cannot creat the backup myself, would anyone be able to point me in the correct direction to be able to find one?

Hi,

The 10 footswitch mode is only available on the Helix floor, and Rack, models which contain a lot more functions and connections than your unit - hence the name LT.

I don’t know where you were looking, but I cannot say that I have ever heard that it was possible to port a Global Setting from one device, and add it to another one which has never had that function available. If this was feasible, this place would have been alive with reports of how to hack a cheaper model.

Oh, look - here’s a Line 6 Produce Specialist who explains @ 1:36

If you need to add extra footswitches, then you could use an external MIDI controller, but - oops! that’s what you are trying to do with the LT!

How about investigating Command Centre - where it should be possible to assign any footswitch to anything!

Did you read this?

Hope this helps/makes sense.

I do not think that is possible. Who told you it was?

If you take a picture of a Hemi and put it under the hood of your KIA it will NOT go faster!

Well I found this:

which has the file I asked about in the comments so I shall persevere and see how I get on.

Also that analogy doesnt really have any relevance to what I'm asking, it's more like remapping your ecu if anything.

Thanks anyway.

I am using command centre, I am trying to avoid the up down buttons freaking out when I map stuff over the top of them.

I found what I was looking for so either it will work or it won't

You may need to dig a bit deeper with Command Centre - check out Steve S with stackable Snapshots and more.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

The stackable snapshots is what started me down this rabbit hole. :)

I had been using them with the helix for a little while but wanted to adapt it to the control center witih midi messages and all sorts of other madness, I think this should keep me busy for a bit.
