I have purchased another second hand Pod hd Pro X and need to do a complete factory reset.

Having installed all the software, I understnd that to do a reset, the Line 6 Monkey should be used.

The prolem I am having is that when I open Monkey, it is not detacting my Pod.

The drop down menu is only showing Podxt.

The images show the three stages.

Could someone please help?

Check out this post written on August 15, 2024: --> Line 6 Monkey Pending Retirement

Make sure you have installed the latest driver, which can be downloaded from the DOWNLOADS section of this site.

The current method for updating Line6 devices is via the "Line6 Central" app, which can also be downloaded from here.

I'm afraid that I'm still having problems with Monkey.

I have followed the post that hurghanico kindly gave me.

When I open Monkey, I now get the 'Updates' panel, but when I click on 'Check For Updates', it says 'Cannot Make Connection to the Internet Server'.

Anyone any ideas please?

A key part of the trick to still using the Monkey app even though it's retired is described at the end of the post I linked to above. That is, in other words, you have to manually download the firmware file from the DOWNLOADS section of this site and then use the OFFLINE update mode of the Monkey app for which you will then have to specify where the downloaded file needed for the update is located.

Otherwise, simply use the currently supported method, namely via the Line6 Central app, as already suggested.

Thanks very much guys.

Hurghanico - I have done as you suggest with Monkey.

I now have the list which I didn't have before, but it is suggesting I'm not connected to the internet????

Thanks for your continued help.
