Is it possible to see and 'vote' for Feature Requests?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to see and 'vote' for Feature Requests submitted by other people? In my experience, forums for other hardware have a Feature Request thread, where you can describe your request, and other forum users can vote - this gives instant feedback to the moderator and manufacturers of the most popular requests, and allows you to see what ideas are gaining traction.

Is there anything like that here? Or do we just submit requests blindly, with no way of knowing if similar requests have already been made?

Unfortunately I believe the answers are no and yes respectively, at least for now. Feature requests were previously handled via a 3rd party system called Ideascale which did support viewing and voting for existing requests. I’m not sure why this was discontinued. Something similar may come back, especially if lots of people submit a feature request! ;-) (and one for emojis too!)

Ha, I did wonder why they weren't allowing me to use emojis!

Ok, so I'll submit a FR for open FR's. As for using such a thing for market intel, surely all these companies own the gear made by all the other companies, to see what works and what doesn't (attempting to add looking-up-to-the-sky-curiously emoji)
