Can the LFS2 Footswitch be used with POD Express?

Since you're asking specifically about the LFS2 I assume you already have it. I also assume you are familiar (from the manual) with the required setup and you've tried it unsuccessfully. Try configuring it differently, e.g. latching vs. momentary.

If you don't already have the LFS2 here's a helpful snip from the Pod express manual:

NOTE: Expression pedal and footswitches are sold separately:
The Line 6 EXP-1 expression pedal is a fine choice (available from the Line 6
Online Shop), or most 3rd party expression pedals will work as well.
For single or dual external footswitches, you’ll want to get the “momentary”
(non-latching) type.

I do, for my Catalyst.

I have not.

"Try configuring it differently, e.g. latching vs. momentary."

I've since determined that the LFS2 switches are latching.  Without replacing them, how can they be configured as momentary?

Thank you.

I believe you can configure them using your Catalyst.  But, since you haven’t yet tried it it might work already. Try it.

I don't understand this.  If used with the POD Express, how can the LFS2 footswitch be configured by the Catalyst?  Isn't the latching vs. momentary configuration inherent within the hardware design of the individual footswitches?

Not sure, but Catalyst manual says:

Momentary type footswitches can be assigned to work with your Catalyst via the Catalyst Edit software.

... so maybe not fixed in hardware? I don't know if Catalyst Edit can also make your latching LFS2 work as a momentary for POD Express.

I don't own any of the products involved here - I'm just going by manuals, which you could do too if you want to pursue it.
