silverhead Posted June 18 Share Posted June 18 The HD Metal Pack is no longer being sold directly from the Line 6 website. However I expect there are at least two possible ways you can get it: 1) Open a support ticket and see if Line 6 can sell you a license for the pack on an ad-hoc basis; or 2) Someone reading this post might respond with a license they would be willing to transfer. Me and other users of the POD HD Facebook pages have tried writing to Line 6 to ask if they release a firmware with the packs included. A: Yes. This is called "gifting" (see how to gift below). Q: How do I gift a store order? A: Log in to your Line 6 account, visit the Purchase History page, and click the Details link for the order. Click the link/button labeled "gift", then enter the destination Line 6 account username and click confirm. The order will still show in your account history, but you will not have access to the license(s) from the order, be able to return it, or be able to gift it again. In the giftee's account, they will see the order in their history, but not be able to return or gift it. They will have access to all the license(s) in the order. You would need to find someone willing to gift their license to you. Ideally, that someone would respond here and proceed with the gifting. Note that the above FAQ is quite old, referring in other paragraphs to the now-retired License Manager. There’s a banner at the top of this page providing info about that.
