Up211
I've got the Stadium XL set up so that the same 5 snapshots run along the bottom row of Stomp A and B, different effects stomps along the top rows of Stomp A and B. All great. What I can't seem to do is (for example) have the same effect block (say I always want to have immediate access to a boost for example) to have a footswitch to toggle it on or off present on both Stomp A and B. Has anyone figured out how to do this? I don't particularly want to duplicate an fx block - just want one block to have two footswitches, one on Stomp A and one on Stomp B. If anyone's cracked this please let me know.
bbehrens
Interesting. I don't think that the Stadium, nor the Helix, worked that-a-way. But I don't see why you can't have what you want. It is NOT a bug. I would file it as a feature request. But let me give it some thought. And maybe some really creative, knowledgeable, and talented types on here has figured, or can figure, this one out.

My thought would be that you need to have a identical FX block. For sonic constancy I would put it next to the block you are talking about. Then the first FX block has a footswitch assigned in Stomp A and the next FX block has a footswitch assigned in Stomp B. Maybe not the most elegant method and you wouldn't be able to change them both at the same time in both stomp areas. There may be others that have a better method that does work. If so I pray someone adds more thoughts to your question.

I may be wrong here but, I think that the Helix and Stadium are the easiest to access and most intuitive (well, granted Line 6 still has a moderately long road to go down on the Stadium) interface for Snapshots (whatever else you might call it), and Stompbox flexibility on the market. But for this, ya just GOTTA DANCE! I don't see why this could not be an option given the current capabilities. Maybe someone else might have a reason that this would be a bad idea? I know that Eric Klein is a bit short sighted sometimes on some things and I do not understand his logic of artificially limiting functionality is the unit such as the number of Amp models and Clones because "why would you?" My answer to Eric is simply "Why not?" He is funny that way. I feel like he is hiding something rather than explaining any kind of logic. Maybe they have just not gotten to it. But the O.G. Helix floor STILL has Amp and Cab and Poly limitations imposed artificially that, while maybe not the MOST useful, could be used by a user to experiment with in crafting a tone. I have inadvertently fed a cab into a cab in a preset and not been able to replicate that sound other than via IR. The same holds true for Amp into Amp. I wonder what I could do with Poly Pitch into Poly Pitch or Clone into Clone. Of course I can do that now using multiple DSP paths, but I am artificially limited if I want to use more than a few on a single DSP path and then base them on Snapshots instead... After all... Why not?
jiml6
I see what you're saying. Since a Gain block takes up very little DSP, you could have 2 with the same settings and assign one to Stomp A, one to Stomp B.

So where would I file this as a feature request (newbie here)? I'm sure there's a half decent workaround that wont involve more blocks/DSP and tap dancing - I just haven't figured it out yet.
