rkhiii
Bought the little Amplifi 75 and dig it as a practice amp. Was thinking about replacing my M5 with an AmpliFi FX100 for use in front of my tube amps. Main concern is the ability to bypass amp and cab modeling in the FX100 since I'd want to use the effects only. Can this be done? Thanks, --R
Triryche
Yep. All you need to do is select no amp and no cab.

hall2000
For those stupid ones like me: You can find "No Amp" und the Clean Types...
rkhiii
Just a quick follow-up to this thread. How effective is the Amplifi FX100 is as a "pedalboard" in front of an existing guitar amp? Seems like this would easy, assuming the FX100's amp & cab modeling could be disabled. Some are suggesting the "out to amp" is less than idea when output to an existing combo amp though for some reason (I wonder if they're disabling the amp & cab sim??). If I could an FX100 in front of my tube amp instead of my M5, I'd be all over it. If for no other reason, I'd rather adjust effect settings on my iPad than the minuscule display on the M5. I assume if the FX100 can be used as a pedalboard in front of an amp, existing analog pedals could also be used in the chain. ThatDova
So I’ve tired doing that selecting no amp and cab but I still won’t work, my lead still clean, are you supposed to having the cables arranged a certain way?
jarlendoff
I run my Amplifi FX100 to the front of my Orange Rocker 15 clean channel. sounds fantastic and can get what ever sound I want. since the Clean channel of the OR15 has no tone controls it works great. SO easy to use the iPad to dial in sounds. One note, switching presets on the FX100 has a slight delay that can be a pest if not thinking ahead. Guitar in FX100 from amp out of FX100 to front (top) of OR15 use clean channel.
