tgastel
So Gibson is getting in the game too? Looks like a familiar connector http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/HD-6X-Pro-Digital-Guitar/Features.aspx http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/gibsondigital There was a session at Gearfest by Gibson about modeling which I didn't understand. I guess I do now.
phil_m
Gibson has literally been trying to get this MaGIG technology off the ground since the early 2000s... I distinctly remember talking to a guy I worked with back in like 2001 or 2002about it. I just don't think it will ever go anywhere simply because people aren't looking to Gibson for these types of things. People really only want Gibson to make the classic guitar designs they've been making for the last 100 years or whatever.
TheRealZap
ouch even the digital pickup looks amateur.... love me some Gibson... but literally looks like they just butchered what could have been a decent LP (although not with that awful blue finish)
tgastel
FWIW, here's the article I was reading when I came across it. A subject I've been hot on a for a while - wet/dry w/ stereo. It started with one an HD500X and one (1) DT amp and didn't go so well from there. :-) http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/Space_the_Final_Frontier
