I have a Pod HD500X and I'm trying to take advantage of the the amp mods on the pod but I feel I'm not getting the best tone...I have the amp on a clean preset and I have the gain and all the other controls off. tgastel Posted August 1, 2014 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I'm using Studio/Direct on the POD (switch set to LINE) and running 1/4" out to the 1/8" AUX on the Amplifi. Sounds great to me. I haven't tried what you're doing yet, although I want to. I would think Combo Front output mode on the POD and on the Amplifi start with everything at 50%.
